iPhone Gold Rush Needs Tin Star

I have been playing a lot of iPhone games lately for review. So many so that I’m starting to publish four every Friday as an iFriday thing (at GDN).

I’ve come to one conclusion, the majority of games for the iPhone are seriously rushed to market without any type of quality testing. For example a shooting game I recently received and will publish the review of this week is only controlled by the accelerometers and the phone must be in a flat position… who plays games with the phone in a flat position? There are no control options whatsoever. You can’t flip it to vertical, you can’t change the sensitivity, nothing. All can do is turn down the sound…

Another game (which will also be reviewed this week) has no save capabilities. So if you play through 40 levels of the puzzle game, good for you. Then when you re-enter you have to play them all again…
