I’ve been kicking around the idea of a superhero in midlife crisis for some years and it’s turned into this project. The plan is to shoot the pilot and then use it as either the basis of a Kickstarter project or to get further funding elsewhere.
Vince (Hero) is now aging after spending a good deal of his life cleaning up Prime City so that he could raise a family with his wife, Genevieve. Things aren’t going all that well as he’s lost his purpose with the city being clean and things at home starting to unravel.

A new darkly comedic superhero web series in production soon. Created, Written and Directed by Christophor Rick. What happens when the city’s protector hits a mid-life crisis and loses his motivation?
Main Character Bio: Nigel Vincent Ible/Hero
Dedicated to keeping Prime City safe for his daughter to grow up, but aging and starting to lose faith even in his own abilities to do so. Sort of a superhero mid-life crisis (which is what this original idea started as).
Born May 15th, 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Several incidents in his life pointed to his skin being impenetrable;
- Summer 1975 tumbles down a rocky cliff, walks away bruised but otherwise unharmed
- Fall 1975 beat silly by a school bully but every time he fell he stood up and never once did a drop of blood spill from him
- Summer 1983 falls off roof while working, 3 stories to pavement below, stands up and walks away
- 1985 Prime City he is hit by a car which is partly totaled and he walks away
- 1987 brakes fail on a car being pulled into his shop, runs him over, that’s how he met his future wife
- 1988 robbers fire 42 bullets at Vince as he attempts to subdue them while they are robbing his auto/electronics repair shop
- Winter 1989 Vince goes to bank with monthly revenue from the shop and walks into bank robbery, subdues one and takes a shot directly in the chest which lodges itself there, same day takes a shotgun blast to protect a hostage
- Spring 1990 decides Crime City needs cleaning so that he and Gen can raise a family.
He hates the name Nigel, it’s why he was bullied in school, so when he moved to Prime City he started using his middle name, Vincent, or Vince. Never talks about his family. His best friend is Benjamin Devington, formerly the superhero Charger, who possesses extreme strength and speed.
